Trio of Councils fund unique Online Business Growth Programme

Businesses based in East Lindsey, Boston and South Holland are being invited to join South & East Lincolnshire’s 10×10 Business Accelerator Programme.

The programme, fully funded through the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), will give a cohort of ambitious businesses access to professional mentorship, knowledge, and training, across ten consecutive weeks.

As the name suggests the new programme it is all about stimulating Growth, giving local businesses the opportunity to work together and learn from each other’s experiences.

The online programme, which launches in May 2024, is a key component of SELCP’s Economic Development Strategy, a strategy which sees the three councils providing practical business support in terms of both funding (through Grants4Growth) and independent business advice (through Advice4Growth).

Delegates selected for the cohort will attend weekly half-day collaborative-learning workshops, receiving structured practical guidance designed to shape the future of their business. Professional mentorship and peer support also form an integral part of the 10×10 model.

Matthew Hogan, the Programme Sponsor and SELCP’s Assistant Director for Strategic Growth and Development is excited about the launch. “We have such a wealth of talented and ambitious businesses in our area and it’s so important that we harness their potential. I’d urge any business that’s serious about growth to have a look at the 10×10 and get in touch to see how we can help.”

Supporting Businesses with aspirations for growth

Designed and developed by Greenborough Management Ltd, the hugely successful 10×10 Programme has already helped growth-minded businesses develop key skills in areas including finance, marketing, investment procurement, and goal setting. The proven formular engages entrepreneurs with weekly workshops that focus on specific business competencies, led by sector specialists who have extensive industry experience.

Greenborough Director Russell Copley wants potential delegates to know there’s no complex application process or restrictive criteria. Russell explains;“10×10 offers growth potential to all businesses regardless of their type, sector, or stage of development. Any business based in the South and East Lincolnshire areas is eligible to apply, on the understanding they’re currently trading, and have ambitions to scale up and expand their team”.

Greenborough Management Ltd has extensive experience in supporting the growth of UK businesses and will deliver this new accelerator opportunity in partnership with the Team at SELCP.

An ‘incredible opportunity’ for local businesses

Although this is the first programme of its kind specifically being delivered in South East Lincolnshire, Greenborough’s 10×10 accelerator framework has been successfully used as the foundation for the Northern Max Accelerator programme in Bradford and the 10×10 and Agri-Tech Accelerator programmes in Lincoln. Previous programme graduates have reported increased sales revenues of up to 78% and gained the confidence to pitch for substantial investments, with one business appearing on BBC’s Dragon’s Den.

Russell Copley believes the intensive professional and personal support results in a transformative business journey for the delegates. “As the programme progresses, we tailor our material and support to the specific needs of the cohort” says Russell. “We develop an understanding of each business’s requirements and share the industry experience and knowledge that aligns with their needs – while also encouraging them to think outside the box. Delegates can expect to remap their business plan, taking advantage of opportunities they hadn’t even previously considered.”

The programme commences on 10th May 2024 and runs for 10 weeks, concluding with a live finale event on 15th July. Delegates will pitch their business in a ‘Dragon’s Den’-style format, with a view to impressing the panel and securing rewards such as ongoing investment and support.
