University of Lincoln Agri-Tech Accelerator
powered by Eagle Labs
The University of Lincoln, in partnership with Barclays Eagle Labs, is delighted to announce the launch of their new Business Accelerator Programme aimed at supporting the growth and development of the agricultural technology sector.
At its core is a 10-week structured programme of weekly half-day collaborative-learning workshops, each focusing on a thematic business skill or competence. Workshops are presented via Zoom, and in a blended methodology of webinars, videos and directed group exercises by top business educators/trainers chosen for their subject matter or sector expertise. This is the spine of the programme.
Around this are the support layers:
- Based on individually assessed need, mentors are assigned to each beneficiary for the duration (mentors will typically support an average of an hour a week over the programme duration but – driven by the Covid-19 restrictions – this will be through phone, email, Skype, Zoom etc.). Filling this crucial role are technology, financial, marketing, legal or market research experts – depending on the individual needs of the business.
- A sector specific, or unique interest, Masterclass follows the workshop every other week: with guest speakers invited based on beneficiary need and interest. The essence is sharing narratives in an informal question-and-answer session (1hr). Sessions, for example, can focus on selling to farmers; technology development; working with partners; artificial intelligence etc.
- The programme finale is a live “demo session” in front of an invited audience with each programme beneficiary pitching their business
